Breakfast can help prevent blood clots and heart attack leading to sudden death. The advice is not to disregard breakfast! (1) Recent research confirms that one of the worst practices of breakfast is to skip breakfast. In fact; “breakfast is the most important meal in the day”
Why? Because the frequency of heart attacks and strokes leading to sudden death are between 6 am to dusk. The highest incidence being between 8 and 10 o’clock. The findings of this report that the most sudden deaths occur in the early morning?
How? Platelets, a blood component that prevents severe bleeding if there is a wound in the body, due to the accumulation of cholesterol in the lining of the artery. In the morning, platelets are more active and tend to form blood clots.
At the very least, eating too light for breakfast in the morning prevents the activation of platelets that can cause heart attacks.
In a study at Memorial University in St. John’s Newfoundland, eating light, low-fat breakfasts were crucial in modifying platelet activity. In the light of this research, consumption of low-fat or fat-free breakfast such as yogurt, orange juice, fruit and protein, which comes from yogurt or fat-free milk.
If you are neglecting breakfast, it is important to change this habit immediately, and start eating breakfast cereals such as crushed oatmeal or six ounces of grape juice or orange juice, or even a piece of fruit. The breakfast pill will prevent the activity of adhesion platelets and some of the accumulation and thus prevent the formation of blood clots, which may lead to the emergence of heart attacks or strokes, God forbid.
